Just wanted to let everyone know that we arrived home safely yesterday after a long few days of travel. The kids were tired but seemed satisfied at the end of the trip.
I can hardly express how much I enjoyed this trip. I felt fortunate to work with all of the students, both as individuals and as a group. The project work was some of the most fulfilling and meaningful I have ever been part of. We saw amazing places and met wonderful people. I have always enjoyed Nepal, but this time was particularly special.

At my homestay in the house of Jaime Vidruilla, he showed me some Incan ruins that he discovered. He dug them up only about a 20 minute walk from where we were staying. He said that 2 or 3 other people in the village also had ruins like his. He had four pieces of pottery, one of which had drawings along the side of it. He said it was buried with an ancient dead body of an Incan. The reason more people dont have pottery from them is only because they are scared of disturbing the ancient spirits. It´s crazy ...

I received a text at 2:45 a.m. and then a phone call at 10:30 a.m. from Mike, announcing that they are on schedule and planning to land in Chicago on time. Mike and Jane continue to report on the group in glowing terms. They have done important work and have re-created a world view that will most likely reverberate for a lifetime.
